<p><span style="color: #800000;">Below is a article taken from Wikipedia about the camera, I do still have hundreds of photos that I think were taken on the camera.</span></p>
<p><span style="color: #800000;">At least I think they were taken on the Brownie as they are quite small and not like any of the other photos in my collection.<a href="http://ozgraphic.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/10/brownie-box-photo.jpg"><img class="alignleft size-medium wp-image-173" title="brownie box photo" src="http://ozgraphic.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/10/brownie-box-photo-300x224.jpg" alt="brownie box photo 300x224 BOX CAMERA BROWNIE" width="300" height="224" /></a><br />
</span></p>
<p><strong>( Wikipedia )Brownie is the name of a long-running and extremely popular series of simple and inexpensive cameras made by Eastman Kodak. The </strong><br />
<strong>Brownie popularized low-cost photography and introduced the concept of the snapshot. The first Brownie, introduced in February, </strong><br />
<strong>1900,[1] was a very basic cardboard box camera with a simple meniscus lens that took 2¼-inch square pictures on 117 rollfilm. </strong><a href="http://ozgraphic.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/10/brownie2.jpg"><img class="alignright size-thumbnail wp-image-181" title="brownie" src="http://ozgraphic.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/10/brownie2-150x150.jpg" alt="brownie2 150x150 BOX CAMERA BROWNIE" width="150" height="150" /></a><br />
<strong>With its simple controls and initial price of $1, it was intended to be a camera that anyone could afford and use, leading to </strong><br />
<strong>the popular slogan, &#8220;You push the button, we do the rest.&#8221; The camera was named after the popular cartoons created by Palmer Cox.<br />
</strong></p>
<p><strong>One of the most popular Brownie models was the Brownie 127, millions of which were sold between 1952 and 1967. The Brownie 127 </strong><br />
<strong>was a simple bakelite camera for 127 film which featured a simple meniscus <a href="http://ozgraphic.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/10/Envelopes3.jpg"><img class="alignright size-medium wp-image-190" title="Envelopes" src="http://ozgraphic.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/10/Envelopes3-216x300.jpg" alt="Envelopes3 216x300 BOX CAMERA BROWNIE" width="216" height="300" /></a>lens and a curved film plane to reduce the impact of </strong><br />
<strong>deficiencies in the lens.</strong><br />
<strong>Having written an article in the 1940s for amateur photographers suggesting an expensive camera was unnecessary for quality </strong><br />
<strong>photography, the famous Picture Post photographer Bert Hardy used a Brownie camera to stage a carefully posed snapshot of two </strong><br />
<strong>young women sitting on railings above a breezy Blackpool promenade.</strong><br />
<strong>modern world.</strong></p>
<p><a href="http://ozgraphic.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/10/220px-Beau_Brownie1.jpg"><img class="alignleft size-thumbnail wp-image-179" title="220px-Beau_Brownie" src="http://ozgraphic.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/10/220px-Beau_Brownie1-150x150.jpg" alt="220px Beau Brownie1 150x150 BOX CAMERA BROWNIE" width="150" height="150" /></a></p>
<p><span style="color: #003300;">The Beau Brownie range was available from 1930 to 1933.They differed very little from the ever-popular Brownie cameras, the only technical difference being the introduction of a new </span><br />
<span style="color: #003300;">doublet lens, allowing the same picture to be projected on a film plate over a shorter distance, making the Beau Brownies </span><br />
<span style="color: #003300;">nearly 2&#8243; shorter than their conventional counterparts.</span><br />
<span style="color: #003300;">Visually, they had a different enameled two-tone front plate in a heavily geometric and contemporary Art Deco design, the work </span><br />
<span style="color: #003300;">of leading American Deco designer, Walter Dorwin Teague.</span></p>
<p><span style="color: #003300;">They were available in five colour combinations: black and burgundy, brown and tan, two-tone blue, two-tone green, and two-tone </span><br />
<span style="color: #003300;">rose. The rose and green cameras were produced only in1930 and 1931, and are therefore<a href="http://ozgraphic.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/10/lE130002871.jpg"><img class="alignright size-full wp-image-184" title="lE13000287" src="http://ozgraphic.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/10/lE130002871.jpg" alt="lE130002871 BOX CAMERA BROWNIE" width="140" height="131" /></a> rarer than the others. They were encased </span><br />
<span style="color: #003300;">in a faux-leatherette casing.</span><span style="color: #003300;">There were two formats, the $4 No.2 and $5 2A, just like the Brownies, the No.2 measuring 2 ¼&#8221; by 3 ¼&#8221; and using 120 roll film,</span></p>
<p><span style="color: #800000;">The GEH Brownie Collection</span></p>

<p><strong>Photos of fishing trips</strong>, I have added these to the gallery, because they represent how people spent their free time back in the mid 20th century. One can only imagine how far they traveled to get to their favorite fishing spot, or how long it took.</p>
<p>If you look at their faces you can see that were full of joy for being outside, relaxing with friends, a lot of my photos show the obstacles they had trying to get to these faraway places, no 4wheel drive vehicles in those days, I have many photos of cars from the 1930 to 1940 that have rolled down the side of mountains, model T fords stuck in the snow, some of them stuck in floods, some of these photographs show the family&#8217;s still inside the vehicle waiting to be rescued Of course the roads were very primitive and the bridges were non existent in most cases. But that never stopped them going fishing.</p>
<div id="attachment_141" class="wp-caption alignleft" style="width: 160px"><a href="http://ozgraphic.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/09/Fishing_0007.jpg"><img class="size-thumbnail wp-image-141" title="Fishing_0007" src="http://ozgraphic.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/09/Fishing_0007-150x150.jpg" alt="Fishing 0007 150x150 PHOTOS OF FISHING TRIPS" width="150" height="150" /></a><p class="wp-caption-text">great catch 998</p></div>
<div id="attachment_138" class="wp-caption alignright" style="width: 190px"><a href="http://ozgraphic.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/09/Fishing_00021.jpg"><img class="size-medium wp-image-138 " title="Fishing_0002" src="http://ozgraphic.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/09/Fishing_00021-180x300.jpg" alt="Fishing 00021 180x300 PHOTOS OF FISHING TRIPS" width="180" height="300" /></a><p class="wp-caption-text">gone fishing</p></div>
<p>In some of these photos of fishing trips, one can only guess at what they were thinking of out there in the bush or along the valleys, maybe they were thinking of the impending war or maybe they were only thinking of the great meal of freshly caught trout cook on the camp fire that night.</p>
<div id="attachment_137" class="wp-caption alignleft" style="width: 199px"><a href="http://ozgraphic.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/09/Lady-Fishing.jpg"><img class="size-medium wp-image-137" title="Lady Fishing" src="http://ozgraphic.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/09/Lady-Fishing-189x300.jpg" alt="Lady Fishing 189x300 PHOTOS OF FISHING TRIPS" width="189" height="300" /></a><p class="wp-caption-text">lady fishing 669</p></div>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p><strong>Photos of fishing</strong> are one of my favorite collection as hard as it was to pick just a few for this website, I could have made it much larger with at least 100. I hope you enjoy them as much as I have, maybe it will send you off with your fishing rod in hand, if so, good luck</p>

<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p><strong>Photos of Australian Armed Forces </strong>scenes depicted are the camp scenes of tired army battalions cooking food<br />
over the camp fire some washing clothes having a well earned smoke.<br />
Some of these soldiers served in the Middle East, some served defending <strong>Australia</strong> with and from our northern most neighbors such as New Guinea.<br />
You will find that quite a number of the photos depicted are Papuan New Guinean people, these courageous natives of New Guinea were sometimes called <strong>fuzzy wuzzy angels</strong>.<br />
These Papuan men were employed as carriers and played a vital role carrying supplies forward for the troops, as the number of troops who were wounded or fell sick increased, they then were carried back to the safety of those who were unable to walk.<br />
Photographs depicting of some Australians that fought in appalling conditions, tragically more than 600 were killed and 1680 wounded during perhaps the most significant battle in world war 11.<a href="http://ozgraphic.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/09/Military_0019.jpg"><img class="size-thumbnail wp-image-62 alignleft" title="Military_0019" src="http://ozgraphic.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/09/Military_0019-150x150.jpg" alt="Military 0019 150x150 PHOTOS OF AUSTRALIAN ARMED FORCES" width="150" height="150" /></a><br />
Photos of the <strong>Australian Armed Forces </strong>are also telling the story of coast watchers these were mostly indigenous people from islands all around the south west pacific islands,as this area became the front line with Japan entering the war.<br />
The coast watching teleradio station were set up to monitor islands to Australia&#8217;s north.<br />
Photographs of aircraft that would drop supplies and submarines and PT boats would land and remove them.<br />
More than 600 coast-watcher served in <strong>Australia, New Guinea</strong> and the <strong>Pacific Islands</strong> during <strong>world war 11</strong>. They included <strong>RAAF.AIF.RAN.1 WRAN.Us Marines</strong> and <strong>US Army personnel</strong>.</p>

<p><strong>I love old cars</strong>&#8230;love the smell, the leather, the heavy doors, beautifully restored, well preserved old cars, like traveling back in time.<br />
Who can avoid staring at photos of and admiring those antique cars, no matter if they are parked or rolling.</p>
<p>These cars truly fascinate us. they are the cars that carry us back in time through the image of my collection of <strong>photos.</strong></p>
<div id="attachment_84" class="wp-caption alignleft" style="width: 310px"><a href="http://ozgraphic.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/09/Car_00011.jpg"><img class="size-medium wp-image-84" title="Car_0001" src="http://ozgraphic.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/09/Car_00011-300x212.jpg" alt="Car 00011 300x212 PHOTOS OF OLD CARS" width="300" height="212" /></a><p class="wp-caption-text">car # 965</p></div>
<p>Nowadays most of the owners of old cars use them only for private use. It&#8217;s not easy to preserve their originality because of the high fuel consumption of the original engines. Owing to this most of them have been adapted to function with diesel fuel.</p>
<p>The stories behind the cars &#8211; where they come from, who has owned them, how they have survived &#8211; that makes us appreciate old iron.<br />
They have been passed down from generation to generation, or that are seemingly gone and forgotten but live again in<strong> photos.</strong></p>
<div id="attachment_85" class="wp-caption alignleft" style="width: 310px"><a href="http://ozgraphic.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/09/Car_0005.jpg"><img class="size-medium wp-image-85" title="Car_0005" src="http://ozgraphic.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/09/Car_0005-300x182.jpg" alt="Car 0005 300x182 PHOTOS OF OLD CARS" width="300" height="182" /></a><p class="wp-caption-text">car rolled # 442</p></div>
<p>Many people in the past have collected amazing cars. These cars are old, traditional, and bring back tons of memories. Albeit that, with the economic recession, they simply do not have the financial means to make sure that the cars are well maintained.</p>
